Freedom - Liberation - Release

Let Moksha be your safe haven, your own personal cocoon - a place where nature meets luxury - where the air is always cool and fresh, where the trees stand tall. A place where you are greeted by the dawn chorus of endemic birds in the morning and lulled to sleep by gurgling streams at night.

Flavours of Sri Lanka, and the world

Our 3 greenhouses help us deliver home grown, organic vegetables to our guests – and we strive to make 80% of our produce home-grown. Our hotel is close to the Kelani River, where the 1960s war epic and multiple Academy Award Winner “The Bridge on the river Kwai” was filmed – we have access to fresh seafood from the river, and fresh meat from local farmers.

Excursions

Kitulgala is a rainforest wetland, home to Sri Lanka’s second largest rainforest reserve. It is also the adventure capital of the country due to one of the most concentrated waterfall clusters in the island being here – White water rafting, waterfall-abseiling, canyoning, ziplining and canoeing are all available here, along with a plethora of hikes and bike trails.

We are situated 12 minutes (5.5 Kilometres) out of Kitulgala town, and just 2.5 hours out of Colombo. If you are travelling through Colombo on the A7 motorway (a.k.a. Avissawella-Nuwara Eliya-Hatton Road, Ginigath-hena Road) - Take a left at Malwattha Road (there is a People's Bank branch opposite the turnoff). Stay on the main route for approx. 7-8 minutes - then take a left on to Malwathuthanna (Cement Road) at a junction bearing a Buddhist banner (Vijeyarathnarama). Drive 150m up this road and you will be at your destination!
