"Moksha is a beautiful zen boutique hotel located in Kutulgala, a 2.5-hour ride away from Colombo. It’s a family-run hotel, and their story makes the hotel unique and inspiring. The hotel owners Mr. Hemantha and Mr. Dulana are humble and down to earth; they treat their employees like family, which undoubtedly reflects in their services.

From the moment you arrive until your departure, you will be treated like royalty. I was given a free upgrade to the Deluxe room, which has the best view in the hotel. The room was super clean, and the bedding was so comfy. The hotel does not offer a typical buffet or ala cart meals. However, you will be asked what you would like to have, and the chef will recommend wonderful and creative meals according to your dietary requirements. They can do pretty much anything that you’d like to eat, and everything is super delicious and well presented. Special thanks to Chef Priya, Chef Pradeep, Chef Madushan, and Sajith for their outstanding services. Some of the ingredients used in the meals are from their home garden, which is quite notable.

The hotel offers fun and exciting tours around Kitulagala, including cave tours, rafting, zip line and many more.

I am glad I chose Moksha as my first solo vacation spot, as it turned out to be even more impressive than I expected. Thank you so much for making my stay so delightful.

"One word.. Amazing. Came across this wonderful resort by coincidence, but the visit was worth the curiosity. Spent two nights in this wonderful resort by a stream in absolute peace and tranquility. All you hear all day is birds and the water stream. The staff and the management stays true to the concept of hospitality. Attention to detail in every aspect , has some award winning chefs in the team. Food is amazing and presentation is star class. If you want to pleasantly suprise some one who likes personalised service a peaceful environment (or to destress for that matter ) this is the place to take to impress.Hotel has a private entrance to a secluded natural pool and stream with crystal clear water. "Moksha provides an unforgettable experience for any nature lover.My balcony view was complete with mountains , a forest view and a stream flowing nearby. We enjoyed a visit to the makandawa rainforest, bathing in the nearby natural pool and also walking in the greeny resort premises which stretches about 4 acres. The environment is simply breathtaking. The friendly staff made us feel at home and also customised the food as required for my five year old.Most of the curries consisted of food grown in green houses inside the premises.
