The Adventure Capital of Sri Lanka

Our locale of Kitulgala is situated 2.5 hours from the BIA International Airport (Airport transfers can be arranged), 2 hours from the heritage town of Kandy - which was home to Sri Lanka’s last kingdom, 2 hours from the tea country capital of Nuwara Eliya, and 1 hour from Sri Pada – One of the island’s highest peaks which is home to a multi-religious temple and one of the most scenic sunsets you’d see.
Kitulgala itself is a rainforest wetland, home to Sri Lanka’s second largest rainforest reserve where you’d be able to see (if you’re lucky!) our endemic and endangered Serendib Scops Owl. It is also the adventure capital of the country due to one of the most concentrated waterfall clusters in the island being here – White water rafting, waterfall-abseiling, canyoning, ziplining and canoeing are all available here, along with a plethora of hikes and bike trails.
